Quality Control Chemist III

 

My client is a leading Pharmaceutical CRO (cGMP) with over 100 years of manufacturing experience in Pharmaceuticals. They are a stable, full-service, 24 hour outsourcing provider of prescription and OTC medications. They are currently seeking a BS Chemist with lab experience.  The scientist should be a team player and capable of effective communication, including reporting questionable products with the supervisor.  This QC Chemist I must also be fully competent in wet and instrumental techniques.  This person will be expected to:

 

Keep diligent lab records Troubleshooting technical and experimental problems as they arise Organizing workflow of projects involving multiple timelines and products Perform routine sample analysis, follow SOPs, author/improve SOPs Provide guidance, mentoring, feedback, and leadership (to direct reports and junior members) Control instruments, collect data, process and calculate results, report results Perform lab investigation of unexpected or OOS data to determine root cause and to determine corrective/preventative actions Work in a fast-paced environment Act as department representative on multi-dept project teams Use available resources to significantly improve systems and development of lab systems

 

Must Have:

BS 8+ years lab directly related pharmaceutical quality experience HPLC experience Recognized expert in one of the following: HPLC, GC, Dissolution, USP/EP raw materials testing, wet chemistry, spectrophotmetric, microbiological techniques Refined communication skills, plus skilled in technical writing Experience with Word and Excel

 

Preferences:

Experience in role of a similar capacity

 

Compensation:

$58,000+
