We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
ICP Chemist $18.00-$21.00/hr.
Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Description of duties and responsibilities:
· Ability to learn new Analytical tests, instrumentation and procedures.
· Ability to report accurate and precise results in a timely manner.
· Experience preparing standards and diluting samples.
· Test and analyze sample materials to determine chemical content, purity and other characteristics.
· Set-up operates, maintain & calibrate the AA, ICP, IC, CL-titration and wet chemistry techniques.
· Analysis of precious metal compounds using ICP and AAS.
· Effectively process samples in accordance with standard methods and within standard turnaround times.
· Troubleshoots equipment problems as needed to minimize down time.
· Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Must be flexible with work hours, some overtime and weekends are required.
Education and Experience:
· BS in Chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline.
· A minimum of 2 yrs in an industrial related instrumentation laboratory.
· Previous experience operating AA, ICP and IC.
· Method development experience preferred.
· Relevant experience will be considered.
