M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Specialist with 2-5 yrs of experience in organizational development, personnel, or human resources. Duties include all aspects of HR such as entering new hires, processing terminations, employee communications/relations, evaluations, benefits, orientation, job descriptions, development of employment prequalification testing, personality testing, etc.
We need a hard working and motivated Human Resources Specialists who can do grunt work, but also complete projects that are new and require research, development and analysis. You must have great computer skills.
Required SkillsProcessing, verifying and maintaining documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications. Recording data for each employee, including addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates or and reasons for terminations. Inputting new hires, including ensuring that all paperwork is filled out properly, setting up employee files, inputting employee data into the payroll and HRIS systems Processing employee terminations and ensure all terminated employees are removed from company benefits. Searching employee files in order to obtain information for authorized persons and organizations, such as credit bureaus and finance companies. Answering questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information. Examining employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions. Reconciling monthly benefit billing statements for accuracy and making adjustments as needed.
Required ExperienceCandidate must have a stable work historyCandidate be able to travel to and from various construction jobsites.Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and/or AccessMust have the ability to make sound and spontaneous employee decisions.Must have experience with employee evaluations.Must communicate well with pressure situations.
