Position Description:

Jacksonville, IL - Hefty Consumer Products If you are an HR Generalist with manufacturing experience who is ready to take your career to the next level, then consider joini this exciting and challenging role. Working at our multi-site Jacksonville, IL facility, you will have the chance to use your exceptional employee relations, staffing, and project skills as part of a dynamic HR team. Relocation benefits are available. Your resonsibilities will include: •Help to support the HR needs of the Jacksonville plant with a population of 650+. •Provide HR support to plant population. •Help employees resolve wide variety of issues. •Coordinate the hiring of new employees and ensure employment decisions follow company policy and employment laws. •Respond to employee questions and complaints regarding a wide variety of issues (FMLA, work schedules, transfers, promotions, benefits, safety, unfair treatment, performance, personal issues, pay, company policies). •Advise Unit Managers and Supervisors to ensure consistent application of corrective action of company policies and standards of conduct. •Coordinate with Unit Managers to determine hiring needs and ensure proper staffing. •Conduct investigations. •Assist with response to EEOC, DOL and unemployment claims. •Communicates changes in HR related policies and benefit plans.

Qualifications:
•BA/BS in HR or related field required. •3-5 years experience in HR, with at least 2 years in professional-level position in a manufacturing setting required. •Familiarity with employment laws including FMLA, ADA and COBRA. •Exposure to benefit administration highly desirable. •Experience handling complex employee relations situations, and with conducting investigations, required. •Experience with hourly staffing/hiring required. •Experience with salaried hiring preferred. •Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) required. •Prior experience with SAP or similar system, along with reporting, strongly preferred. •Training skills, customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills. •High degree of comfort in conflict resolution situations is required.Experience with hourly staffing/hiring required. Experience with salaried hiring preferred.Strong computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) required. Prior experience with SAP or similar system, along with reporting, strongly preferred.
