The North America Supply Chain is comprised of 28 retail and food service and 43 DSD (bakery) manufacturing plants and 34 sales zones.  It is important that this individual support and drive HR strategy through the business in partnership with local management. The Manager will work closely with local business leaders and the HR Leadership Team to support deployment of a comprehensive HR Strategy and People Plan for both the plant and farm and feed mill operations. The full range of generalist knowledge will be needed to drive successful labor strategy, performance management, compensation planning, and talent development.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Understand the components that make up the “value chain” for the business Understand organizational strategy and competitive strengths, industry dynamics, profit levers, customers and competitors Identify problems central to business strategy and forecast potential obstacles to success Clarify business goals and proactively contribute to business decisions Build effective relationships of trust and credibility with internal customers that leads to stronger buy-in and sponsorship within the business Hold self and others accountable, appreciate others needs and perspectives, and commit to ensuring an inclusive environment Deliver new and better ways to attract and retain employees, develop employees, and increase their performance Improve management of compensation and benefits; design, develop and execute training & development for compensation and benefits Ensure compliance with legal obligations, regulatory standards, and labor relations practices Lead culture change by translating desired culture into specific employee and managerial behaviors, challenging the status quo and championing the culture transformation process Design and deliver clear communication to management, direct reports, and across the organization; implement a communications strategy for your business Support optimization of organizational tools and processes through collection and maintenance of data related to organizational structure, reporting relationships, and other essential analytics Support the professional development of direct reports through development planning and regular feedback Bi-Lingual SpanishBachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university required. Masters degree in HR preferred. PHR, SPHR desired Must have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of human resources and employment practices (selection, interviewing, job evaluations, contract administration, etc.), normally acquired with a minimum of 4-5 years experience required. Experience in handling Union avoidance-related issues. Familiarity with human resources function in a manufacturing environment preferred. Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
