Located in Iowa City, Iowa Provides human resources (HR) support and consultation to assigned business partners in support of both overall company goals and functional HR goals. Accomplish HR activities in the areas of employee relations, training delivery, organizational development and management/employee consultation. Day-to-Day Responsibilities The incumbent will provide counsel and direction to clients on HR issues, including proactive identification and resolution of people related issues. Provide support to business partners on employee relations issues, including employee communication. Organizational development issues to include performance evaluation, training and development, etc., need to be communicated and supported. Incumbent will also provide direction on compensation issues for their respective business unit. S/he will act as a change agent in the evolution of a workplace culture exemplified by employee empowerment, accountability, continuous improvement, and ongoing learning. Requirements Experience required: Five + years experience in a generalist capacity. Must have experience working as a business partner to large client groups and working closely with senior management. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or applicable field. Skills Required: Successful candidate must: - Be enthusiastic with excellent communication skills - Possess the ability to partner with and influence client groups through strong interpersonal skills - Provide proactive human resources practices - Be able to work independently, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
