The Human Resources Director: provides strategic Human Resources leadership, expertise and consulting to the OSUP leaders and departments to maximize organization effectiveness, HR planning, change strategies and performance management for competitive advantage. This position will leverage core HR process expertise to ensure the alignment of corporate and business strategies. Proactively and strategically lead the process to assess talent, identify development needs, track development plan execution and create succession plans for Corporate & LLC. Ensure diversity initiatives are represented. Function as a coach, business partner and consultant on organizational design issues; leadership and team development; succession planning; change management; training; retention strategies and compensation management, to ensure market competitiveness. Leverage HR shared-services resources and functional expertise as appropriate. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with OSUP Management, LLC Business Managers, and Department Chairs. Participate in leadership staff meetings, board meetings, and HR Work Group. Act as the “executive coach” for key business partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain liaison will all levels of administration, physicians, and partner with OSU to coordinate business practice, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolution of problems. Ensure consistent and accurate interpretation and application of human resource policies and procedures within OSUP and Lilac’s. Direct professional support for human resources programs and initiatives. Develop appropriate employee and management communication vehicles designed to promote a positive work environment and proactive and mutually supported employee relations. Coordinate the implementation and results of performance management tools within the organization while providing strategic leadership to drive change and improvement in its areas of opportunity. Guide practice managers in developing skills in and implementation of performance management practices. Assess department training needs and develop, conduct or provide training sessions as appropriate for OSUP staff. Analyze staffing requirements to promote cost effectiveness and best practice. Determine budgetary impact of salary actions and assist management with salary budget planning and staffing requirements. Provide subject matter expertise and consultation to senior management concerning the strategic direction of human resources. Prepare reports and analysis reflecting progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Collaborate with management on developing strategies to attract top talent within a proactive recruiting model. Minimum 10 years’ HR, HRD, or Organizational Development experience. Strong generalist background with an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of key areas of organizational effectiveness, change management and facilitation. Solid expertise in foundational HR areas: employee relations, staffing, compensation, training and development, and HRIS. Ability to leverage HR process experts. Ability to create consensus, influence change and move others toward a common goal. Sills in developing high-performing teams. Knowledge of HR ethics and professional standards. Knowledge of and ability to assess liability and apply risk management related to HR policies and procedures. Knowledge of the interrelationships among HR activities and programs across functional areas.
