Tandem Transport Corp. is a flatbed motor carrier operating approximately 300 units nationwide. We have 6 terminals throughout the Midwest and south. We are currently seeking a full-time Human Resource Manager to work at our corporate office in Michigan City, IN. This position works closely with the Director of Driver Resources to plan, direct, and coordinate driver resource management activities and maximize the strategic use of driver resources as well as maintain functions such as compensation, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance for our Professional Drivers. This position is also responsible for managing most staff HR issues such as recruitment, employee orientation, policy documentation, dissemination, and explanation, tenure recognition, as well as coordinating training, and maintaining personnel files. This position will perform periodic driver reviews/evaluations and report results and will update and maintain HR documentation (e.g., TEI and CTS manuals and forms) and coordinate various other programs such as the Fuel Management Program, the Driver Rep program and CTS/TIC tenure recognition program. Driver Recruitment issues will be managed by the Recruiting Manager. However, the Human Resource Manager may assist as necessary.
