HR Manager – Chicago Area: Downers Grove, IL

Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH (HAC). HAC is a leading supplier of industrial ethernet solutions and industrial connectors. A German company, HAC was founded in 1924 and is the global market share leader for rail-mounted industrial ethernet switches and a leading provider of industrial connectivity.

LTK Wiring Co. Ltd. Based in Hong Kong, LTK is a leading wire and cable supplier to companies who manufacture consumer electronics, telecom equipment, white goods, automobiles and other OEM products in China.

Lumberg Automation Components GmbH. Lumberg, which is located in Schalksmuhle, Germany, is a leading supplier of industrial connectivity products for factory automation machinery. They have a strong market position with leading German equipment OEMs and provide both standard and customized solutions to meet the connectivity requirements of a wide range of industrial customers.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Staffing Develop processes to proactively recruit talent. Put a Staffing Plan in place to make certain that staffing needs are predicted and plans put in place to meet the staffing needs.

Lead Succession Planning and employee development activities.

Work with management to create development plans and career pathing for all employees that are promotable

Develop selection tools and assessments to help improve the quality of hires at all levels in the organization.

Training: Lead the development of training programs at all levels in the organization. Identify the competencies required and perform a skills assessment to determine by job category what training is needed. Work with internal and external resources to develop training that will provide a positive financial return.

Performance

Management Lead the Role Definition and Performance Management Process. Put systems and processes in place to facilitate the implementation of goals, objectives, and performance appraisals. Work with the organization to ensure that goals and objectives are aligned and that poor performers are properly managed.

Develop and Implement Organizational Effectiveness Interventions and Communication Strategies.

Align performance measures with compensation systems.

Drive human resource strategy processes to align this strategy with the business strategy.

Lead the implementation of Human Resource Best Practices.

Provide advice and consultation to management in regards to company policy and employment law.

The successful candidate should have:

- Proven Experience in putting HR strategies and processes in place to help dramatically improve the performance of an organization.

- Experience in designing training and development tools and proven success in implementing those tools.

- Organizational Development experience.

- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree is preferred.
