We are seeking an HR Manager to support to the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR)facilitating effective recruitment, reward, retention and where appropriate contract termination of staff in support of the current and future needs of the business. Key Responsibilities: Proactively establish strong working relationship with assigned client groups. Understand business challenges of the groups. Develop, advise, interpret and implement with management all company employment and HR policy, practices and procedures, taking account of relevant legal requirements, benchmarked best practice, and the needs of the business. Provide an internal consultancy on a range of HR issues such as performance management, talent management and development, compensation & benefits, employee communications and organizational development/change in order to support managers and improve staff, department & business performance. Make best use of HR IT systems in order to meet the management information requirements e.g. Headcount reporting. Manage HR projects as required by the HR Director to ensure that HR policies and procedures are developed continuously to meet overall business requirements. Increase the effectiveness of HR programs and processes by training and counseling associates, provide feedback and analyses of current effectiveness and impact, and identify opportunities for improvement. Handle all employee relations issues as well as monitor and improve client issues through coaching and counseling techniques. Qualifications Bachelor s degree and 4+ years HR Generalist experience as well as specialist knowledge in areas such as ER, recruitment, employment law or compensation & benefits. Working within a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment a plus.
