We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator in our Oklahoma City office. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and PHR/SPHR certification is a plus. A minimum of 3 years managerial experience is required. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in the areas of Labor and Industrial Relations laws & practices, compensation programs, and employee benefits, including healthcare and 401K plans. This person should have a dynamic and tactful personality with excellent interpersonal, communication, computer, and presentation skills. They should be a team player with analytical and problem solving abilities and a high level of integrity and professionalism.
The daily responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager will include, but not be limited to:
ü Employee Communications including emails, newsletters, check inserts etc.
ü Employee Recruiting - works with department managers to select employees to fill vacant positions
ü HR Compliance - Identifies HR legal regulations and compliance reporting requirements
ü Maintains the Employee Handbook and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with legal requirements
ü Plans and conducts new employee orientation to communicate company goals and foster positive attitudes.
ü Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
ü Employee Training - Coordinates training in a variety of areas including; interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Maintains documentation of such training for insurance and legal purposes.
ü Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
ü Employee resource - respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
ü Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
ü Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
ü Benefits Administration – oversee programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Coordinate the sourcing of these benefits.
ü Participates as a member of the HR committee.
ü Oversees general company communications
ü Plans company wide events such as annual company picnic etc.
ü Safety – Work with the safety coordinator. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
