Description: The Partners High Performance Medicine Team III (HPM III) Program Manager provides management, supervision, and staff support for Partners-wide quality improvement initiatives. The Program Manager may work with clinical communities engaged in quality improvement (QI) for conditions ranging from cardiac care, diabetes care, tobacco cessation, stroke, and pneumonia, and other conditions as the HPM III portfolio evolves over time. Partners Healthcare System consists of 17 regional service organizations (RSOs) serving the health care needs of 1.5 million patients, including an estimated population of 100,000 with diabetes and 300,000 tobacco users. The efforts that the successful candidate will direct will fall within the structure of the Partners HPM Team III, Uniform High Quality.
Under the direction of the HPM Team III Program Director, and the HPM III Clinical Team Leader, the Program Manager will develop, deploy and manage key clinical programs aimed at improving quality of care, clinical integration and achievement of National Hospital Quality Measures (NHQMs) and pay-for-performance contractual targets across the network.
The Program Manager will develop, pilot, disseminate, and continually update systems and services to be utilized by all RSOs and hospitals. He/she will support and participate in external meetings with key customers to identify barriers as well as best practices in the achievement of goals.
He/she will provide mentorship and assume administrative management responsibilities for other members of the HPM III team working on these initiatives.
The HPM III Program Manager works closely with both the PCHI and PHS HPM III teams to improve upon existing diabetes and tobacco cessation programs from clinician, patient, IS, and contractual viewpoints. He/she will staff, lead, or serve on appropriate committees, attend and lead team meetings necessary for the achievement of system wide improvement.

1. Master's degree with at least 2 years experience in a healthcare setting.
2. Experience in project management activities preferred.
3. Experience in quality improvement activities preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Strong organizational and project design experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
2. Ability to multitask, coordinate, and run numerous projects simultaneously.
3. Influencing skills to engage clinicians/group to join projects and processes.
4. Advanced interpersonal skills needed to deal effectively using discretion, diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.
5. Ability to develop effective relationships with a broad array of people from diverse backgrounds.
6. Ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings effectively and efficiently.
7. Highly developed listening skills and problem solving skills.
8. Strong oral and written communication skills.
9. Ability to make presentations to audiences of all sizes and staff levels in an informative, scientific and reliable manner.
10. Ability to write reports for a variety of audiences.
11. PC-literacy and competency with Microsoft office software (including basic analytic skills).
12. Valid drivers license.
