Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC) is seeking motivated team-oriented individual to serve as Hospital Services and Professional Education Specialist. Responsible for development of professional relationships with hospital contacts and implementation of donation “best practices” within WRTC OPO service area hospitals.
Specialist is responsible for design, individualization, coordination and execution of general educational activities for area healthcare professionals. Responsible for timely completion of hospital medical record reviews and data analysis towards identification of opportunities for the realization of full donation potential and/or improved donation processes at assigned hospitals; as well as the effective conveyance of this information to key hospital contacts. Specialist is expected to spend majority of working hours in hospitals carrying out above responsibilities and other activities such as donation follow up, informal educational visits to key units & hospital staff, process variance resolution, and "real-time" activities and education (concurrently with donation activity). Specialist may also coordinate and conduct hospital services-related education, within organization, for Hospital Services and Recovery Services staff (e.g. new staff training).
Minimum requirements: Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, education or science; and (0 – 5) years experience. Demonstrated abilities in both autonomous project management and effective teamwork are an absolute necessity. Beautiful office located in Annandale, VA; excellent benefits.
