Current NeedHORIZON MEDICAL IMAGING IMPLEMENTATION CONSULTANT McKesson¿s Horizon Medical Imaging¿ picture archiving and communication system (PACS) provides hospitals and clinics with the best in image and information management solutions. The PACS solution enables hospitals and clinics to acquire, distribute and archive medical images and diagnostic reports across the enterprise. Horizon Medical Imaging integrates images from multiple modalities with clinical patient data, streamlining radiology department workflow and improving radiologist efficiency. The PACS solution also provides referring physicians with patient images as part of a complete medical record, improving decision-making and helping to ensure patient safety. The Implementation Consultant is responsible for the development, planning and implementation of customer training on Horizon Medical Imaging. This position requires close interaction with Radiologists, Technologists and Administrators. Software Trainers also provide customers with workflow customization, design and consulting services. *Location: Remote (east coast) *Travel: 75%+ overnight/throughout North America including Canada. This may include occasional weekend travel. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Evaluate radiology workflow and provide recommendations on changes related to PACS implementation 2. Advise radiology departments in change management issues related to PACS implementation 3. Develop, coordinate and conduct formal training sessions on site 4. Train Radiologists and Clinicians on how to use the full suite of Horizon Medical Imaging solutions 5. Train customers on their specific workflow scenarios so they can maximize efficiency of systems in a clinical environment 6. Assist Radiologists and PACS administrators with system & user configurations 7. Maintain training documentation including course completion certificates and summary reports 8. Provide ongoing product feedback to engineering, sales and product development teams 9. Work directly with Technical Writers to produce training materials 10. As needed, provide support to the Customer Support team with application issues EDUCATION: Radiology Technologist¿s Certification, Bachelor's degree and/or diploma in Health Sciences or equivalent Education. Additional education in Information Technology is a plus. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1. Minimum of 6 months experience in training or educating others individually and in groups or related experience. 2. 2-3 years experience working in a clinical environment with a medical imaging specialty (Radiographers, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, CT Technologist, MRI Technologists¿). 3. Deep understanding of clinical workflow within medical imaging as well as clinical terminology and processes. 4. Direct experience with McKesson Medical Imaging Technology or similar products (RIS/PACS). 5. Proficient with MS Office applications. Understanding of technical/IT terminology at a level that allows for confident communication with the internal and hospital IT staff. 6. Ability to work independently with a remote manager and little structure 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation.
