Home Performance Account Manager — Portland, Oregon

The Pacific Northwest division of CSG, based in Portland, OR, is seeking Home Performance Account Managers for its Portland and Eugene, Oregon offices. CSG’s Portland office is responsible for administering the Energy Trust of Oregon’s Existing Homes Home Energy Solutions (HES) program.

The HES Exiting Homes Program is operated under a direct contract between CSG and the Energy Trust. Program activities include an array of energy efficiency services targeting existing homes – manufactured housing duct sealing, existing home reviews, Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®, and building shell, HVAC, lighting, and clothes washer improvements for multifamily properties. Rebates, financing, trade ally network, trade ally training, consumer education, co-op & other targeted marketing, and low-cost and major measure are key components of the program design.

The Home Performance Account Managers are responsible for supporting Building Performance Institute certified contractors that are performing work in the HES Existing Homes Program. Support entails assisting on job sites, training on HomeCheck software, performing Quality Control of completed work, providing remedial training, helping with program and customer paperwork.

This position reports to the Senior Home Performance Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

§         Meeting program goals for recruitment of home performance contractors in terms of expected development of program capacity and delivery of production and savings goals.

§         Articulation to potential and existing partners of the business proposition for Home Performance.

§         Reporting of program progress to CSG Program Director and to the client on a monthly basis.

§         Ensuring that program partners are properly equipped to participate in the program.

§         Coordination and management of Home Performance trainings offered by the program.

§         Proctoring of Home Performance training participants.

§         Ensuring that program partners properly register for participation, including meeting insurance requirements, proper certification, and proper completion of the various program participation agreements and addendums.

§         Ensuring that program partners are aware of the current guidelines, incentives and requirements.

§         Determining the geographic areas in need of enhancement and coordinating recruitment efforts.

§         Ensuring that disciplinary actions required by the quality assurance system, client, or other sources are carried out.

§         Review and authorization of incentives for duct testing and sealing.

Skills Required:          

§         3–4 years experience selling or managing projects in the fields of residential home construction, home improvement, or HVAC; or 3–4 years administering energy conservation marketing programs.

§         Ability to implement program guidelines, incentive systems, and requirements.

§         Computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

§         Ability to learn and train program partners (Home Performance contractors) on the software used in the program, including HomeCheck and FastTrack program tracking software, Home Energy Review rating software and other programs.

§         Partner relation skills including ability to understand partner concerns and program operations and to suggest solutions.

§         Strong oral and verbal (written) skills.

§         Ability to work within a multi-layered team, and to take initiative while maintaining reporting integrity.

§         Basic knowledge of integrated building science is highly desired. BPI certification as a Building Analyst I is required.

This is a full time position although some flexibility of schedule is possible. Travel within Oregon will be required.

Compensation package includes a salary commensurate with experience and paid holidays, 80% paid medical, 50% paid dental, paid life & AD&D and paid STD & LTD insurance coverage, plus employer matching retirement plan
