The Human Resources Division of Edward Jones currently has an opening for a Home Office Recruiter. This is an exciting opportunity to work in staffing the St. Louis home office. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making decisions about the qualifications of candidates. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of direct recruiting experience, very strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Source diverse, qualified candidate pool for open positions through various means, including daily searches on recruiting management system, advertising, searching on-line resume databases, Internet postings, networking with professional and community organizations, advertisements and associate referrals.
- Partner with hiring leaders to understand and create staffing strategies.
- Identify and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract passive job seekers.
- Serve as a consultant to hiring leaders to shape/guide their decisions on candidates, proposed salaries and position requirements.
- Pool qualified candidates for reoccurring positions to impact days to fill.
- Manage open positions effectively to ensure all positions are a priority and filled within appropriate timeframes.
- Recruit for unique, challenging and/or high level positions while continuing to recruit for primary areas of responsibility.
- Train and mentor team members on sourcing and recruiting processes to enhance development of associates and team as a whole.
- Represent Edward Jones at recruiting and community events.

Requirements
Education/Certification:
College degree preferred; coursework in HR preferred.

Years of Relevant Experience :
Minimum of 2 years of direct recruiting experience for positions of varied levels of authority
Minimum of 2 years of interviewing experience utilizing behavioral interviewing techniques strongly preferred.

Functional Skills :
Must have strong experience conducting behavioral based interviewing. Must understand the business of the firm/department/position for which they are recruiting. Must have strong understanding of employment law principles especially with regard to hiring. Must have strong communication and decision-making skills, the ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail required. Strong negotiation skills.

Problem Solving :
Ability to investigate problems or issues using a variety of available resources. Must be able to recognize obstacles in the recruiting process and seek alternatives. Must be able to solve problems on their own in the absence of a leader.
