HEALTHCARE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY—PAYER SALES REPRESENTATIVE
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fast-growing, financially sound, healthcare information technology company with award-winning solutions.
Our client is a fast-growing, award-winning provider of E-Health transaction services. The company optimizes the flow of information between healthcare professionals, health plans, and other healthcare stakeholders through a secure internet-based exchange. The exchange encompasses administrative and clinical services, supports both real-time and batch transactions via the web and electronic data interchange (EDI), and is HIPAA compliant. The company offers healthcare providers a single gateway though which they can transact with multiple health plans, resulting in cost and time savings to both groups.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking two SALES REPRESENTATIVES to sell the company’s products and services to Healthcare Payer organizations (Health Plans).
There is very little cold-calling involved in this position since the company already has a very extensive and impressive list of clients and additional potential clients are flocking to them seeking information. The Payer Sales Rep is responsible for evaluating, developing and managing new payer business opportunities and initiatives in order to increase the company’s market share. Thirty to fifty percent travel is required. The Sales Reps may work out of Company offices in Texas or Florida or may work out of virtual offices in their homes anywhere near a major airport, preferably in the Southeast, Midwest or Texas. No relocation assistance is available. The positions pay a base salary from $90,000 to $100,000 or more depending on level of experience, plus 15-20% bonus opportunity, plus commissions and a comprehensive package of benefits.
To be considered candidates must have:
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Computer Science, or a related field of study or equivalent experience;
At least five years of successful sales experience in Healthcare Information Technology with a focus on Payer organizations;
Successful consultative sales experience calling on C-level executives (CEO, COO, CFO, and CMO) in Payer organizations;
A strong understanding of Managed Care/Insurance organizations, their internal structure, and decision-making process;
An in-depth knowledge of the claims payment process and of EDI transactions;
A history of building and maintaining strong, positive business relationships at all decision levels;
A track record of “closing the deal;”
Excellent presentation and follow-up skills.
EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH EXECUTIVES AT BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD ORGANIZATIONS IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
