As a Health Care Science Professional in the Medical Service Corps, you could establish physiological guidelines for deep-sea diving and high g-force combat maneuvers. Devise critical countermeasures for radiation or chemical exposure. Or develop the technology to protect others from the hazards of everything from biological warfare to bug-borne illness.

Medical Service Corps scientists use their skills to support Sailors, Marines and other servicemembers, their missions and a global community beyond. That could mean ensuring the everyday safety of those aboard floating cities at sea. That might involve managing epidemics in the aftermath of natural disasters a world away.

It all depends on the specialty. In total, there are over 20 unique specialties represented in the Medical Service Corps. Included among these: biochemistry, environmental health, industrial hygiene, microbiology, physiology and many more.

As a health sciences student: Get up to $180,000* while you finish graduate school. That includes a monthly salary and housing allowance from $2,850 to $5,000 for up to 36 months (housing allowance may vary depending upon location) - plus other benefits. Note that this specific offer is exclusive to the Navy and not available in other military service branches.

Already a working professional? Get up to $114,900* in graduate school loan repayment assistance by applying to receive $38,300 each year for up to three years. And take advantage of available postgraduate training options.
