Ernst & Young's Health Sciences Advisory Services (HSAS) practice focuses on helping health care organizations and life sciences companies achieve and maintain economic strength while also managing the risks they confront in the challenging health care environment. Our services address five areas: revenue management, financial performance, regulatory reporting and compliance, Managed Care contracting, and post-issuance disclosure.
Our financial services teams help measure operating performance, increase net revenue, and provide quality services. Our services focus on financial management and prospective reporting, third-party contractual adjustment reviews, consultant reports related to debt compliance violations, restructuring, forecasts and projections of prospective financial information, and transitional financial management support. We are currently seeking the right candidate for a career opportunity as a Manager.
ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
Help lead healthy, sustainable growth for HSAS and our clients by understanding client needs, our service lines, and actively advising, assessing and presenting ways that the firm can serve clients.
People Development
Be responsible for the growth and development of all levels of professionals. Foster teamwork, innovative thinking and knowledge sharing with team members to enhance service delivery. Successfully delegate to all levels of staff. Understand/follow workplace policies, as well as respect/protect confidential client information. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills. Conduct performance reviews, contribute to performance feedback and serve as a leader and mentor.
Managing and Exceeding Client Expectations
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client executives. Collaborate to plan objectives within a defined budget, and develop strategies that address risk. Understand and articulate trends in the industry. Apply/communicate strategic objectives and organizational policies of EY.
To qualify, candidates must have: a bachelor's degree in business or a related field (a CPA, MBA, MHA and/or MPH is a plus)
a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant, in-depth health care experience with a Big 4 professional services firm, a regional firm, or a large acute care or academic medical center
acute care experience; experience or knowledge of other healthcare providers (skilled nursing, home health, etc.) is a plus
strong financial, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills
excellent client service and proven sales/business development skills
a demonstrated ability to manage large engagements, prioritize, and supervise/motivate staff
excellent written and verbal communication skills
The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel.
