FLOOD BROOK UNION SCHOOL POSITION OPENING TO BEGIN JULY 1, 2008 HEAD OF FACILITIES, GROUNDS & TRANSPORTATION The Flood Brook Union School is a K-8, 300-student, school located in the heart of ski country in Southwestern Vermont. We are seeking a highly qualified individual who will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all existing facilities on school campus in order to provide a safe, pleasant and comfortable environment for students and staff; maintenance and operation of all school bus vehicles; supervision of maintenance, repair, renovation and additions to buildings, grounds and equipment, including serving as the representative overseeing and directing building projects and renovations; compliance with federal, state and local regulations affecting the safe operation of all facilities and school bus vehicles; planning, scheduling and supervision of all department personnel. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; knowledge of building and grounds maintenance; effective communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills; effective management and supervisory skills; holds a Commercial Driving License with a School Bus Driver Endorsement; excellent safety driving record; certifiable in Asbestos, Wastewater and Drinking Water management.
