Haband is seeking a Senior Programmer/Analyst who will report to the Project Manager or Director of IT Systems in our Oakland, NJ corporate offices. 

Under the general direction of the Project Manager, a Senior Programmer/Analyst is responsible for individually performing or participating with other staff in producing new (or modifications to existing) IT systems.  This person is required to perform at a high level of expertise in systems analysis, design and problem solving to ensure project requirements and business needs are met.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

·        Analyze, design and develop, document complete and efficient computer systems and programs.

·        Evaluate alternative approaches to improving data processing through changes or additions to hardware/software, procedures, or internal applications.

·        Responsible to define system requirements and solutions at the technical level.

·        Plan and complete projects within schedules and achieve milestones.

·        Demonstrate the ability to translate functional business requirements into complex technical solutions.

·        Must be able to function effectively both working alone and as a member of an IT or enterprise wide team.

·        Share in the responsibility for software support with the IT team both during office hours and outside of office hours.

·        Handle sensitive information with discretion and good judgment.

·        Expected to keep abreast of IT technology and best programming practices.

·        Additional job-related responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

A qualified candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of computer programming and system analysis process equivalent to high school plus additional broad specialized training equal to two years of technical college or an Associate Degree.  This person will also have a minimum of five years experience in RPG400, RPGLE, CLP, DDS, SQL.  RPG Free is a plus.  Several years of programming, analysis, and design experience on the AS400 / Iseries as well as Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Visio, MS Project a must.
