Overview: The Gym Attendant is responsible for the safe and secure day to day operations of the gymnasium. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of facility by cleaning equipment and training areas, vacuuming and sweeping, selling and /or verifying memberships through Point of Sales system, handling the issuing and return of equipment, providing information and answer questions about available programs, reporting all equipment and gymnasium area problems to the Sports/Fitness Supervisor, notifying members and staff when equipment are out of working order or in need of repair and enforcing all rules that pertain to the Gymnasium and facility on a constant basis. The Gym Attendant is also responsible for the proper accounting of any and all monies handled at the Gym Office.

Qualifications:

HS graduate requiredDemonstrate an understanding of the rules and fundamentals of indoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, floor hockey, indoor soccer and other programs offered in the gymnasium.Must have computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.Experience as a cashier or money handling a plusMust have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aide certication within first 30 days of employment.
