Brower is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Benefits Group Account Manager located in our Cincinnati office.

 

The Benefits Group Account Manager is responsible for overall management of assigned benefit accounts following agency and carrier guidelines.  Works directly with the producer in the development of new accounts and service of existing benefits accounts.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Pre-qualifies new and renewal accounts per agency/carrier guidelines and gaols communicated and reviewed annually by management.  Renews accounts by agency standards, remarkets, contacts clients and follows up in conjunction with producers.

 

Prepares proposals and applications based on feedback from producer, carrier and client information.  Submits proposals and applications to insureds and carriers, obtains client signatures as needed and follows up appropriately.  Suggests coverage and program changes or upgrades on client exposures and carrier programs.

 

Assists clients in making appropropriate coverage changes and processes changes following agency procedures and carrier guidelines. 

 

Informs and educates clients about coverage, eligibility, legal issues (COBRA, FMLA, etc.) deductibles, co-pays, and other contract items.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

 

High school diploma or equivalent. Ohio Life & Health License REQUIRED. 2 to 4 years minimum group benefit insurance experience with either an insurance carrier or agency.
