Nationally recognized non-profit organization located near downtown Los Angeles is looking for a Chief Accountant. This position will serve in a similar capacity to an Assistant Controller. In this position, the Chief Accountant (Assistant Controller) will supervise the day to day accounting functions, overseeing a staff of 8. In addition, the Chief Accountant (Assistant Controller) will prepare the financial statements, annual operating and capital budgets, internal and external audit schedules, as well as provide extensive account analysis and reconciliation. The Chief Accountant (Assistant Controller) will also work in conjunction with field representatives to ensure proper training, development, and oversight on operating procedures, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.

Qualifications :
Qualified candidates for this position will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial capacity in a non-profit or government contract organization. MBA or CPA is strongly preferred as well. In this position, the right person will need to be an effective communicator and collaborate with various members of the organization.
