Nevada City is about 1 hour North and East of Sacramento, CA -- in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Nevada City (elevation: 2500) is a historical city, in the heart of California's Gold Country. Nevada City is commutable from Sacramento and its Eastern suburbs like Roseville, Lincoln, Granite Bay, Natomas, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, and Auburn (it's a reverse commute; against traffic). Software Engineer You will work with a team of software and hardware engineers in a fast-paced environment to develop products for the professional video/audio market. You will be designing and implementing software for a real-time system that may be based on a combination of Windows and Linux. The system design will use UML and will be developed in C++. The system is a real-time system that includes 3D graphics and programming.
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
At least four years of experience with C++ to design and debug multi-tasking/multithreaded programs and with OpenGL or DirectX.
Knowledge of 3D graphics mathematics.
Some experience working with 3D scenegraphs
Desired:
Real-time programming
UML
Shader and other GPU programming
Knowledge of image data storage formats
Linux programming
Clearcase or other source code control exposure
Designing and debugging multi-processor/multi-core applications,
Signal and image processing background
Computer networking experience using TCP/IP.
Low level programming for PC based systems.
