About The Position:

The Government Sales Education Manager (GSEM) will develop and implement effective strategies to meet/exceed objectives.  GSEM will lead, manage and develop training programs to support objectives for military and civilian orthopaedic surgeons, sales management, sales representatives and sales associates/trainees.  The GSEM will be responsible for contributing directly to driving the Government Sales team to higher sales performance and building strong relationships in the military and VA community.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with marketing, clinical research, medical education, R&D and peer leaders to strategize, deliver matrix deals, negotiate and support contracts. Work with sales leadership teams to identify critical targets between VA hospitals and other centers. Develop business plans to increase product usage and sales. Coordinate and assist the U.S. Military in the development of course content and support the War Surgery courses with sawbones and cadaver labs. Develop, implement and manage educational programs to expand awareness of orthopaedic products among sales reps, surgeons, fellows, residents and nurses. Develop and recommend strategies for the Government Sales management team to facilitate future products to be incorporated into business plans. Coordinate and manages physician meetings to include logistics, set-up and program organization/coordination as identified by the Director. Manage key clinician and consultant relationships to engage in research, education, publication and to satisfy training needs.

 

Qualifications/Work Experience:

BA or BS in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field required.  Prefer Masters Degree in Business Administration. Must have demonstrated expertise in orthopaedic products and procedures. Must have successful track record of training/educating surgeons and medical professionals. Must have in-depth familiarity with Department of Defense, including military, VA and other government facilities. Ability to travel up to 65%.
