Alliant Techsystems, Spacecraft Systems Group, located in Beltsville, MD, is seeking a Government Accounting and Budget Manager to manage the activities of the Government Accounting and Budget function. In this position, you will coordinate with Operations Management, Finance, Contracts and Legal as needed. This position will also require you to assess financial risk to the Business of various CAS/FAR issues and proposed courses of action.
Requirements for this position include:
- The management and interfacing of DCAA audits; experience is preferred
- Responsible for the coordination and development of annual expense and overhead budgets, Development and complete understanding of proper CAS allocation methods.
- Responsibility for preparation of Forward Pricing Rates
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- 5-7 Years experience in Government Contract Budgeting, cost submissions, and DCAA negotiation
- Responsible for constructing Incurred Cost Submission packages. Support audits of claimed costs incurred and submitted for reimbursement under cost reimbursable, fixed price incentive, and other types of contracts.
Additionalrequirements for this position include:
- Responsible for construction of the Business Unit Disclosure statement
- Provide guidance and support to the organization in determining if costs are acceptable in accordance with contract terms, FAR, and CAS rules and regulations.
- Responsible for insuring the Government Cost and accounting system maintains their certifications.
- Perform analysis and Assess financial impact of changes on cost base, expense and overhead budgets. Perform what if scenarios.
- Negotiate final indirect rate settlements and settlement of CAS issues.
- Provide advice, guidance and training on CAS and FAR issues and regulations.
- Possess the ability to deal with government representatives in a professional manner while presenting the companys viewpoint.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or a related field
- US citizen or permanent residency is required.
