Position Description: A Government Account Executive is responsible for the retention and growth of an existing account base. These responsiblities would include the ownership and management of the account. Duties would include but not be limited to placing orders, service and billing resolution and maintenance of the account.
• Meet/exceed monthly sales quota targets and goals.
• Acquire new customers through cold calling efforts as required
• Manage tactical aspects of overall account strategy developed by the GAM to drive account/territory development at the local level.
• Execute on strategies to penetrate State and Local Government accounts through close coordination with the GAM and the customer.
• Utilize consultative and solution selling techniques to drive voice and data opportunities within assigned list of accounts
• Train and encourage customers to use least cost methods of order fulfillment and provisioning through the use of on-line, web-enabled systems.
• Prepare and present responses to RFP’s, RFI’s and unsolicited proposals.
• Deliver professional Company presentations to customers.
• Maintain frequent and personal contact with customers to build strong business relationships.
• Manage customer expectations in accordance with Company approved methodologies.
• Maintain a broad knowledge of current wireless services, coverage maps, rate plans, complex products and services, and selling skills to ensure image-enhancing message and delivery.
• Maintain a professional image and work environment.
• Proactively promote positive interaction and professionalism with internal and external customers.
• Aggressively handle customer inquiries and escalations professionally.
• Preparation and timely submission of daily/weekly call reports, funnel activities and monthly sales forecast using appropriate sales automation tools.
• Conduct SWOT analysis of accounts (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) with sales management.
• Attend all required sales meetings and training sessions.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:The chosen candidate will have a minimum of 2 years sales experience and the ambition and drive to excel in this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum two year experience selling in a cold calling environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
• Confident attitude with the ability to work well in a high pace team environment
• Sound decision making and problem solving capabilities.
• Ability to present professional image of self and Company.
• Ability to handle customer inquiries and escalations professionally.
• Personal commitment to providing quality products and unparalleled customer service.
• Computer literacy strongly preferred.
• At least five years experience working in the wireless and/or telecommunications industry a plus
