This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

The area: Online Sales and Operations

The Online Sales and Operations (OSO) team keeps Google growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company's expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for generating revenue from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, Gmail and Google Earth. This means that OSO team members need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible - and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role: Risk Management Specialist

As an experienced Risk Management Specialist, you'll help grow Google Checkout to become the industry leader in e-commerce transactions. You'll have a direct impact on the financial success of Google Checkout. Additionally, you will gain valuable exposure to the world of Google including its business model, customer focus, operations, and fraud detection technology. You are hard working, detail-oriented, and interested in new Google products and building out teams.

Responsibilities:
Assist in fraud investigations including: reviewing accounts and transactions, detecting fraud trends, and summarizing key findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups to enhance tools functionality, and train various internal teams on e-commerce fraud as needed.
Refine processes around customer support and product expansion.
Design processes to minimize financial exposure.
Provide support to external parties via email and phone with designated service levels.
Qualifications: High-caliber BA/BS degree.
At least 1-2 years of experience in risk management or fraud investigation. (Experience at a financial institution, e-commerce business or payment processor is also acceptable.)
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of projects.
Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
