The role: Legal Assistant

Legal Assistants for Googles Product Counsel group will be called on to perform a wide variety of critical support and administrative tasks, therefore requiring self-confident, detail-oriented and patient individuals capable of processing large workloads. You'll need to be fully knowledgeable about Google products and services, and able to talk about them in a clear, concise and engaging manner with both attorneys and product teams. Required tasks include organizing attorney feedback in the product launch process, coordinating localization of legal documents, and routing materials for legal review. In addition, you will be asked to perform many one-off tasks including legal research and product reviews. A desire to understand worldwide legal issues including copyright, privacy, and content regulation, is essential.

Responsibilities:Organize and route materials for legal review. This includes assuring launches receive necessary legal sign-offs.
Help in creating new systems to streamline recurring review processes.
Perform a full range of administrative tasks and correspondence.
Facilitate communication of process and policy to internal and external customers.
Handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information. Qualifications: BA/BS degree with an excellent academic record from a top-flight institution.
Ability to prioritize and manage numerous simultaneous projects under both assigned and self-imposed deadlines. Must be able to stay organized without supervision.
Strong interest in technology industry and in software and technology development. Willingness to learn basic technical aspects of Googles products is a necessity.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience interacting with all levels and departments within a company.
