As a Global Workforce Development Specialist, you will build partnerships and collaborate with site and department training groups to ensure alignment of employee development programs for Micron worldwide. You will be responsible for conducting needs assessment, designing, developing, delivering, facilitating, and evaluating interventions that have applicability to all site training organizations while overseeing various aspects of Micron courses/programs. Responsibilities include coordinating course scheduling and the production of hardcopy and online materials. In addition, the duties of a Workforce Development Specialist focuses on close collaboration with other Micron personnel (instructors, management, etc.) ensuring needs are being met. Delivery methodology, value analysis of course development balanced with customer needs, ability to disseminate information/training in a variety methods, and legal matters such as copyright issues are all duties and functions that this position will have to consider on a regular basis. Other responsibilities in this role will include:Working with OE personnel, SME's, and site/department leadership to develop instructional material, coordinate, write and edit educational content, and incorporate current technology. Providing support to focus groups, committees, and task forces as needed. Monitoring and staying abreast of global technological, legal and operational changes that effects GWD courses. Providing reports to management on training progression, completion and student usage. Exercising cost controls. Performing as a corporate liaison for global coordination on GWD courses. Ideal candidates for this position will have: A minimum of two years solid experience in a functional training or facilitating role with emphasis on employee development. International work experience. A proven track record in developing original and innovative training interventions. The ability to think strategically and to lead and manage change. Excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing, and communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint, particularly as used in the development of instructional content. The ability to organize and work under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables. Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process. The ability to be flexible and comfortable with ambiguity. Demonstrated alignment with company cultures and values. A working knowledge of adult education/learning theory, performance technology, and instructional design. Demonstrated the ability to effectively coach leaders, influence others, and work effectively across multiple levels and areas of an organization. A high level of self-motivation and self-direction. The ability to juggle multiple priorities and serve many customers. The ability to travel to other Micron sites as needed. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organization and time management skills. The ability to work flexible hours to meet department needs and timelines. Education:
BA in Education, Business, or industry-related field, or equivalent education and experience required.
