POSITION SUMMARY

As the Global Product Manager for Desktop & Enterprise Document Solutions, you will be guiding a team that is charged with a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing fax products to developing new Document Delivery solutions/products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.  The ideal candidate will have a communications background with experience transitioning and integrating legacy services into highly desirable technology solutions.

 

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Manage our global Desktop & Enterprise Solutions product line and look to expand into digital imaging and business process workflow solutions

+ Define scope and execute the product plan.  Planning includes definition of internal and external developer requirements and technology features, competitive analysis, technology distribution and implementation plans

+ Develop and maintain material for key messages, customer value proposition, competitive differentiation, and market positioning.

+ Deliver product requirements documents that specify customer needs for new and enhanced product functionality and work with engineering to ensure that market requirements are fully understood, emerge accurately in the product line and exceed customer expectations.

+ Assist on key customer and partner opportunities including sales calls, presentation development, messaging and value proposition refinement.

+ Be an expert on the market, competitors, and partners.

+ Lead cross-functional core teams including R&D, QA, Marketing, Sales,

Finance and partners

 

QUALIFICATIONS

+ 7 or more years of experience in technology industry (at least 3 years of experience in formal product management, sales engineering, or technical support role).

+ Self-motivated, results-oriented, well-organized; able to successfully manage multiple priorities and aggressive business goals

+ Demonstrated experience in defining, launching, and managing communication technology solutions

+ Experience managing partner relationships.

+ Strong ability to work with remote cross-functional teams.

+ Ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to internal and external audiences

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly visible position.

+ Bachelor's degree required (engineering or other technical degree preferred) / MBA preferred.

+ Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

+ International experience a plus

+ Experience with new product development process methodology (PRTM, Stage Gate, Pragmatic Marketing) a significant plus.

 

Travel: 20%.

Location:  Tinton Falls, NJ (R&D, Ops Center) or Atlanta, GA (Headquarters)
