Global IT Site Engineer

 

 

Electrical Components International is a global manufacturer of electrical components that provides fully integrated manufacturing capabilities and a wide range of technical services including advanced design, applied engineering, custom manufacturing and integration of wire and wire-based components.  We are currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Global IT Site Engineer for our office in St. Louis, Missouri.  In this role you will administer and support IT systems/services at multiple locations and provide user support.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

1.        Administer, maintain, and support: Windows Server Based file/print/e-mail/application/database servers, iSeries /BPCS, local area networks, telephone systems, and telecom services.

2.        Troubleshoot and resolve workstation issues including hardware, software, and peripherals.  Provide user support and training.

3.        Evaluate user system requirements and assist in creating or implementing IT solutions that meet user requirements.

4.        Assist corporate WAN administrator with WAN changes and troubleshooting.

5.        Work with and assist corporate IT staff and IT staff at other locations.  Ensure corporate policies and directives are followed.

6.        Ensure systems are backed up and media is rotated.

7.        Administer systems and network security.

8.        Advise on new applications, provide assistance with, and inform users of changes in the IT area that may impact them.

9.        Responsible for special projects as requested.

10.     After hours work as required for planned maintenance and unanticipated problems.

11.     Ensure company policies and company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are practiced.

12.     Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Position Requirements

 

Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience.  Must have knowledge and experience with managing a LAN and supporting personal computers, MS Windows Server and Exchange Server administration, MS Office applications and iSeries Systems. 

 

 

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required coupled with strong communication skills, both written and verbal and able to travel.
