Our client was founded in the spring of 2005 by its President and Chief Executive Officer and a significant private equity fund. The current CEO came from a successful career as a global leader at a global power and distribution company. The private equity group has had a number of successful equity investments in the energy and utility sector and has over $3 billion under investment. Our client has a global remit and a primary focus on power. Their strategy includes both Greenfield development and acquisition through direct investments or joint ventures. Our client ’s mandate is very flexible and they are able to invest in various assets classes in addition to common equity if attractive opportunities present themselves. The first acquisition was a power plant under construction in Minnesota. The plant burns turkey waste and other bio fuels and is the largest of its kind in the world. The total project cost is approximately $240 million. The company made several other acquisitions, some of platform development companies with projects in advanced development or early construction and others of operating assets in Ukraine, Colombia and Brazil. The development activities are currently focused on Eastern Europe, Ukraine, Africa and Latin America. The Company has approximately 80 employees at present at the holding company level, approximately 800 employees globally and is headquartered in New York with the finance and technical engineering office in Houston and operational and development offices in London, Paris, Kiev and Sao Paulo.

Qualifications :
The responsibilities of this position include: • Recommending the company’s overall information technology standards and practices • Serving as a liaison between nontechnical business units and IT, communicating technical information and plans. • Developing enterprise wide security policies, which are fit for purpose • Managing the day-to-day, overall operations of the IT department • Managing the implementation of data systems and monitoring their effectiveness in meeting business unit needs o Lead and oversee the execution of all aspects of our new SAP system, such as planning, technical architecture, software configuration, systems testing, user training and transition to an SAP production environment o Setting project scope, priorities, deadlines and deliverable schedules o Managing and monitoring project budgets and expenditures o Managing third party consultants and other vendors to the project o Oversee quality control o Provide direction to change management activities and facilitate a structured and effective approach to change management o Travel - 25% including international Qualification requirements include: • 10+ years IT experience • 5+ years SAP • 5+ years Program and/or Project Management • Familiarity with current internal controls issues, including SOX compliance • Bachelor of Science Skills and attributes • Solid communication and management skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Customer focus • Decision making skills • Results orientation Preferred qualifications include: • Energy/Power experience • MBA or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering • PMP Certification
