We currently seek a highly skilled Global Commodity Manager to be based out of Fort Myers, Florida facility. In this key role you will be responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies across multiple business units.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Providing best total value for purchased goods to corporate business units and ensure year-to-year, bottom-line material and product cost improvements.
· Achieving QDC (Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance goals and asset management by working closely with operational facilities for Global Machined parts supply
· Managing vendor transition and rationalization in support of the Global Operations Strategic Plan
· Leveraging global supply capability for global consumption and localization/globalization of purchased components in emerging markets (China, India, Central/Eastern Europe, and Latin America)
· Negotiating commodity contracts to meet business unit’s technology, quality, and cost goals through 3P&L negotiation process.
· Assuring acceptable quality levels and continuity of supply for all assigned commodities
· Supporting Engineering on all New Product Development and Introduction programs (NPI)
· Supporting cross-functional efforts to reduce costs, standardize components, and adapt new supplier technologies
· Building strong, value-adding relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional departments
· Business travel requirements up to 30%
To qualify, candidates must possess the following:
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Accounting. (Master's degree preferred but not required.)
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Materials/Purchasing function.
· 3+ years leadership experience.
· Effective communication and proven negotiation skills.
· Ability to understand and formulate the business requirements for a commercial trade contract.
· Global sourcing experience for a global multinational manufacturing company.
· Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships across global boundaries and time zones.
· Solid leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build cross-cultural teams.
· Strategic focus with the ability to analyze, formulate, and implement procurement strategies to significantly reduce costs for a global business.
· Tactical ability to support business units for Machined parts commodity supply.
· Experience in leading low cost country sourcing projects from inception to completion.
