Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for 2 GIS Technicians with 0-2+ years of experience in the geospatial industry for a year long contract assignment located in Kansas City, MO. Here are the basic job functions: (1) process and prepare tabular graphical data, (2) enters data from source materials (collects data from pipe and facilities database, interpret the data and enter data into a relational/spatial database), (3) collate, plot, trim alignment sheets and prepare for mailing, (4) conduct basic routing of pipeline data & (5) create graphic files by means of DTM, centerline, digitizing or scanning. You need the ability to apply mapping skills related to GIS such as cartography and alignment sheet generation. You need a working knowledge of spatial mapping tools. The following experience/skills would be a plus: 1 or more years experience in the geospatial industry, a solid understanding of GIS and photogrammetric processes, AutoCAD or Microstation, stereo compilation or ortho production experience, Geography degree or AutoCAD certificate or ARCGIS experience. Client is looking for candidates local to the Kansas City (MO or KS) area. Hourly Rate is commensurate with Experience!! Questions you will be asked:
