IMMEDIATE OPENING-Immediate opportunity in the Gulf Coast area of Alabama for a Geotechnical Engineer to work for a well established consulting engineering company. Their expertise is in civil, environmental, land development engineering.Some of the projects this position will be involved with include: water/wastewater, storm drainage, highway, natural gas soil/foundation, etc. Responsibilities include field and reporting aspects of geo-technical investigation, engineering, and inspection including field investigation. A good candidate will have field investigation experience with drilling, test pit investigation and other in-field sampling methods; geo-technical laboratory analyses; evaluation/calculation of soil bearing capacity and other geo-technical parameters; evaluation of foundation types and design parameters; report preparation; and construction phase testing, inspection and consultation. To be considered for this position you must have a BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering and minimum 3 years commercial geo-technical experience.
