Knight Piésold and Co., www.knightpiesold.com, an international engineering and environmental consultancy in the power, water, mining and infrastructure sectors and committed to the provision of engineering, economics and environmental services of the highest caliber is seeking an Mid-level Environmental Engineer for our Denver, Colorado office.

This position, under the supervision of our senior geotechnical and civil engineers, will perform site investigations, lab testing, analysis, design, report preparation, client liaison and construction monitoring and supervision on mining and water resource projects including tailing facilities, heap leach pads, water storage dams and foundations.

The position requires travel to various U.S. and overseas project sites, occasionally for extended time periods. Fluency in foreign languages, especially Spanish, would be considered an advantage.

The candidate shall have a Bachelor's degree in geotechnical and/or civil engineering, 2-5 years experience in geotechnical or water resources, a strong desire to advance their knowledge in these fields, excellent analytical skills and familiarity with stability, seepage and consolidation analysis.  The candidate shall also have the ability to interact well with others on a project team and shall have excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent working knowledge of AutoCadd, including volumetric calculation packages such as LDD or Civil 3D would be considered an advantage.
