GENERAL MANAGER

This position will be responsible for the day to day operation of a warehouse/distribution facility that is approximately 200,000 square feet in size. You will be responsible for a staff of 60-70 employees in this pick-pack facility. You will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and work closely with all other departments. This is a hands on high energy position, apply only if you fit the description.

Job Requirements:

5-7 years of management experience, in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Strong leadership skills. Strong communication skills, verbal and written. The ability to counsel in a positive and effective manner. The ability to develop and implement new procedures and systems making the facility more efficient and profitable. The ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action as needed. The ability to maintain a safe, and clean working environment for all personnel. Motivate, train and promote teamwork. Audit employee work performance and provide feedback as needed. Ensure company policy and procedure is followed. Monitor all bookkeeping. Maintain building security. Maintain an accurate and secure inventory. Ensure prompt, courteous customer service. Maintain a steady work flow, ensuring all shipping deadlines are met. Manage staffing needs, while running an efficient but cost-effective facility. Ensure customer and vendor returns are processed in a timely manner. Perform quarterly safety meetings and inspections. Computer literate. Well versed in MS Office, especially Word and Excel. Military experience a plus.
