JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:                General Manager                              

                               

Department:          Online Lottery Operations

 

Reports to:            Regional Director, Lottery Operations (Maryland)

 

I.      Position Summary:

 

Directs and coordinates activities of the online operation to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations by performing the following duties personally or through others

 

II.      Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

 

1.        Analyze market trends and potential.  Develop and recommend marketing objectives, including sales volume and financial forecasts.

2.        Define and recommend objectives in each area of operations.  Develop specific short term and long term plans and programs, together with supporting requests and financial estimates.

3.        Promptly respond to customer/management requests and feedback.

4.        Escalate customer issues that require additional support and visibility, or affect scope outside of local site.

5.        Routinely and proactively communicate with field, sales, and senior management regarding service/performance issues.

6.        Generate ideas and take proactive steps to maximize efficiencies and cost containment.

7.        Evaluate department practices and procedures with Management Staff to improve effectiveness and overall impact on our customers.

8.        Submit accurate and complete reports in accordance with established requirements.

9.        Responsible for overall development of all personnel and staff reporting directly or indirectly.

 

III.      Position Requirements/Skills & Abilities:

 

Proven track record as leader in computer operations and field service operationsExperience with managing a projectExperience in corporate production and support operationsProven track record as leader in working effectively with customersProven track record in leading, managing and developing subordinatesExperience in product disciplinesExperience writing product specifications to incorporate customer requirementsExperience with a project start-upBachelor degree or equivalent in fields of business, management or computer sciences.

 

IV.      Potential Salary Package:
