RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide overall supervision and coordination of operational, service & repair, and commercially related initiatives in the region. 
• Provide overall daily management of the operation, both independently and through the supervision of subordinates.
• Responsible for overall profitability ratios for assigned business.
• Responsible for developing, monitoring, measuring, and managing the organization’s business plan to ensure ROI and profitability objectives are met.
• Create service sales projections and set objectives for assigned product line.
• Provide direction for all post-sales and warranty related activities.
• Responsible for ensuring organization’s goals and objectives are consistent with overall corporate objectives.
• Direct and coordinate activities of subordinates to insure attainment of goals and objectives.
• Coordinate service, repair, warranty related initiatives with Sales organization, R&D, Engineering, and Marketing.
• Insure all product and service aspects of the company are conducted efficiently and in accordance with the company’s quality standards
• Responsible for formulating and administering policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
• Construct and administer budget for assigned product line.
• Review and analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward attainment of stated goals and objectives.
• Review business profitability on an ongoing basis and make necessary changes to insure all costs are controlled through sound business practices, insuring that all functions are conducted in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
• Assign and allocate resources to achieve specific business results.
• Confer with Senior Management to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
• Direct subordinate managers and supervisors in operational issues, including resource allocation, personnel and employment decisions, and business priorities. • Directly supervise subordinate managers and non-management employees.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Insure all financial and accounting functions are conducted in an ethical and professional manner.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Any other duties and responsibilities, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Undergraduate college degree in Engineering or similar, with Masters degree preferred
• Ideal candidate with have four to ten years of managerial level experience and knowledge in the field of medium to high volume generators and electrical motors (i.e. induction motors, synchronous motors, DC motors, motor controls, motor maintenance, motor repairs, and engineering services) and generators
• Prior international experience a definite plus
• Driven, motivated, independent thinker with proven managerial and leadership skills
• Strong Operational and Sales Support experience, with Profit and Loss responsibility
• Ability to manage, drive and grow the business in a cost efficient manner
• Oversee product sales and related maintenance and repair services
• Active involvement and customer contact with any customer-service related issues
• Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Understanding of sales, marketing and customer requirements
• Continually develop new potential clients and business
• Responsible for on time delivery of products and related services
• Follow the company’s policy in strong customer-service and integrity
• Able to read technical drawings, understand mathematical concepts, interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must have good “attention-to-detail” skills
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting / financial reporting requirements
• Thorough knowledge of quality principles
• Able to bring about efficiencies by incorporation of cost optimization and consolidation principles
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and interactive abilities, both internally and externally.
• Able to effectively present information to top management, or public groups.
• Able to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
• Able to develop, motivate and train a dynamic work force
• Exceptional time management skills
• Ability to travel to project or customer sites
• Computer literacy
• Able and willing to travel internationally.
