Leading developer of Internet based Healthcare Claims Management seeks

Full-time PHP Developer for our Houston Texas Office Location

Location: Houston, Texas
Status: Full-time Employee

The ideal PHP Developer candidate will posses demonstrable experience in PHP, PostgreSQL, XML, HTML/XHTML, CSS and object oriented design principals. Both written and verbal communication skills are essential. The candidate will be expected to learn and work in a very fast paced service oriented environment. The ability to plan and meet deadlines is essential. The candidate’s responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Ø Creating web based reports that interact with one or more PostgreSQL databases

Ø Parsing flat text files, XML files, or ANSI X12 EDI files

Ø Creating ANSI X12 healthcare file formats

Ø Providing code enhancements and bug corrections as needed

Ø Providing clear documentation to be made available to the other development team members on all developed code

Required Skills

* High Degree of Analytical Intelligence
* PHP (preferable PHP 5 command line and Web based)
* SQL syntax, design and commands, (preferably PostgreSQL)
* XML
* HTML/XHTML
* CSS

Additional Preferred Skills

· Knowledge and experience with EDI

· Knowledge and experience with Healthcare claims processing

· Windows and Linux system administration and configuration

· Familiarity with common web application algorithms

· Knowledge of common data structures used in Web applications

· Knowledge of the underlying principles behind application and environment security

· Experience working in a version controlled development (RCS)

The compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Samples of previous development will be reviewed.
