Description: Fulfillment Manager will manage and coordinate the administrative operations of textbook fulfillment for Kaplan Higher Education Campuses. This includes but is not limited to the planning and execution in the ordering, procurement, and service of all learning material fulfillment for both students and faculty. Fulfillment Manager will also be responsible for obtaining faculty materials for employed Kaplan faculty as well as provide desk references for the development of new ground programs. The Fulfillment Manager will: - Manage the day-to-day operations of course material purchasing, inventory management, order processing, customer service, and accounting/financial reporting functions communicating challenges as they arise - Work with the Curriculum Development team to identify textbook edition updates communicating timelines for changes - Establish and document scalable distribution processes to be rolled out efficiently to all locations - Provide timely responses to campus management regarding textbook/fulfillment issues - Work with Sr. Fulfillment Manager to ensure timely and efficient distribution of student and faculty textbooks to each Kaplan location - Research new programs or distribution processes to improve quality/reduce costs and improve service - Manage outside vendors and negotiate contracts for services as assigned by the Director, Fulfillment - Track all campus textbook issues and provide a quarterly summary - Monitor key metrics to ensure the distribution processes are running efficiently - Manage internal and external Kaplan support teams to ensure business goals are met within timeframes Likely Activities Breakdown: - Daily fulfillment of materials to schools, students, and faculty: 60% - Planning and forecasting: 25% - Metrics- reporting and financial analysis: 5% - Vendor management: 5% - Research - process, programs, and textbooks: 5% The breakdown of Fulfillment Manager activities will vary depending on the current needs of the Department, and the discretion of the Director of Fulfillment.
