Description: The Senior Fuel Systems Specialist (SFSS) is a technical expert in the design and operation of FAA fuel storage tanks. The SFSS performs operational and compliance evaluations in support of FST system modification initiatives. The SFSS directs the redesign and modification of FAA FST systems to respond to operational and compliance deficiencies. The SFSS is responsible for maintaining fuel site files, design and maintenance of site files, specifications, procedures, drawings and project manuals. The SFSS directs the implementation of FST modifications. The SFSS provides technical guidanceto the FAA FST Program Manager and FAA Regional FST Program Managers. The Fuel Systems Specialist (FSS) provides technical assistance to the FAA, FST Program Manager in areas of fuel storage tank regulatory compliance and operations. The FSS shall support FAA projects involving propane, diesel, gasoline and waste oil AST and UST systems, inclusive of all piping and controls. The FSS shall prepare documentation and reports necessary to maintain compliance at FAA, FST facilities inclusive of Emergency Preparedness and Community Right-to-Know reports, Spill Prevention Control Countermeasure plans, FST audits, compliance/operational checklists and registration notifications. The FSS shall support FST facility managers in the execution of compliance and operational projects. The FSS shall support FST assessments and remedial actions. Qualifications: The Senior Fuel Systems Specialist must have at least ten years experience related to FST operations, assessments and remedial actions at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Airspace Systems (NAS) facilities.
Desired skills:
Fuel monitoring system installation and repair certification, OSHA 40 (HAZWOPER) certification, fuel system installation certification, familiarization with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facilities and their operation and security requirements Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience A Total Value package.
