Westinghouse Electric Company Nuclear Fuel, located in Monroeville, Pennsylvania is seeking a Fuel Engineering Licensing Manager to:

Proactively seek, develop, implement initiatives to cost effectively achieve goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Develop internal, customer and regulatory contacts and establish strategies for licensing and implementation of new products and services to meet financial and strategic objectives.

Oversee licensing performance, direct continual review of department's operations, develop/introduce alternative approaches, methods or equipment to effectively accomplish objectives.

Specific regulatory activities will include development and execution of strategies to license new products and services, requiring interaction with Westinghouse technical experts, NRC reviewers and Management and customers. Other responsibilities will include leading efforts to prepare Operability Assessments when potential 10 CFR 2 issues are identified, and managing routine licensing support for fuel reoloads.

Manage and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Obtain funding and workscope from internal/external sources; establish, monitor and meet financial commitments.

Promote/arrange for development of staff; ensure levels of guidance and direction are provided; manage/document employee performance and implement responsive actions. I. KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills. Broad knowledge of engineering principles and techniques and applications related to Nuclear Fuel. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of US NRC regulatory requirement and processes. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing engineering projects and skilled diverse staff; knowledge in product development and reload engineering processes.

Bachelors degree in engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred plus 10 to 15 years of strong and progressively more responsible engineering leadership experience is required.

Credentials of candidate for this position must be approved through appropriate department Vice President.

II. PROBLEM SOLVING

Applies engineering knowledge and experience to identify, direct, and integrate acceptable resolution of highly complex technical and regulatory issues addressing customer, regulatory and Westinghouse requirements. Issues often involve multi-disciplinary areas. Coordinate and lead efforts for complex licensing projects. Ability to direct complex projects with general degree of creativity and minimal guidance is essential.
