General Physics Corporation is seeking Training Specialists for long-term assignments in the Overland Park, KS office. This position is full-time with benefits.

Signing bonuses are available commensurate with hands-on operations, maintenance and/or training experience in a fossil plant.

Training Specialists are responsible for the following duties:
Provide consulting services to GP's power plant customers to help them analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training programs
Develop training materials, including system descriptions and operating procedures, qualification documentation and other materials as assigned
Provide instruction to client trainees as well as operations and maintenance personnel on power plant topics and technologies

A qualified candidate must have:
Minimum of five years hands-on experience in operations, maintenance and/or related training in fossil, or combined-cycle power plants
Proven technical writing and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
Drive to exceed client expectations with high-quality work products that are delivered on time and within budget
Ability to be highly productive in a self-directed work environment
Ability to complete walkdowns of plant systems in a power plant
Travel is required.

Additional experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
Scrubbers, supercritical units, water chemistry, water treatment and waste water treatment plant operation, hydro operations and wind turbines
DCS, process controls and instrumentation
Mechanical, electrical systems
Project management and training material development

Education requirements:
Must have post-high school training in a technical field
Navy Nuclear Power Training or B.S. Engineering degree preferred
