Painted Hills Golf Course located in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager. Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all food and beverage service outlets.Excellent management skills, the ability to hold people accountable while being positive, fair and consistent. Manage all food and beverage department co-workers excluding kitchen and kitchen staff, either through direct supervision or the assignment of responsibilities through assistant managers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, terminating, and coaching. Ensure that all co-workers meet the standards established by management for performance and appearance including personal hygiene and uniforms. Maintain all working programs and develop new concepts to increase guest satisfaction. Ensure all policies and procedures related to the operation of the food and beverage department are enforced and implemented appropriately, including personnel management, sanitation, cash, and credit card processing, and safety. Work with the chef to develop seasonal menus and table tents. Responsible for beverage inventory and ordering. Responsible for controlling beverage and labor costs by scheduling appropriately and verifying hours scheduled, worked, and matched against schedules. Ensure adequate inventories are maintained and purchased. Work closely with the catering director and chef weekly to discuss all banquet event orders insuring perfect execution. Creativity to brainstorm, plan and execute new events. Work with the General Manager to identify sales opportunities and sales potential through aggressive marketing efforts including flyers, newspaper adds, telephone soliciting, brochures, promotional events and any related opportunities which are created to increase sales and awareness of the facility.Follow up with any customer’s questions, comments, or concerns. Conduct staff meetings to communicate goals, events and any changes to policy and or procedure. Maintain relations with village officials and attend networking opportunities within the surrounding communities. Perform any related duty as needed regarding the operation of the food and beverage operation.
Skills and Willingness:
Ability to resolve guest and co-worker concerns and problems.Willingness and ability to converse in a professional manner to guests and co-workers.Must forecast and staff accordingly to business needs. Knowledge of food and beverage service etiquette, policies and procedures.Must complete a course in Safeserve and implement the practices required by the state of Texas. Become familiar with the budget and manage the budget as determined by management. Cost of Sales control experience is a must Knowledge of applicable liquor and smoking laws, procedures and policies. Ability to manage business and co-workers directly and through subordinate managers. Ability to work under fast pace conditions and difficult guest situations while maintaining composure and integrity.
