Your Role: The successful candidate will oversee, control and participate in total kitchen function at The Encounter under minimal supervision. Directly responsible for training, cost control, sanitation, and maintenance of the operation of the kitchen as well as the front of the house. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the entire staff in food preparation, cooking and customer service; and training of employees according to company procedures. Prepare inventory and cost reports; analyze data and implement appropriate control procedures to contain or lower food and labor costs according to the plan. Ensure that inventory is maintained at adequate levels through estimating food consumption and controlling portion size. Oversee purchasing food according to corporate guidelines and policy. Develop and implement procedures and training to ensure high levels of sanitation are consistently met or exceeded. Ensure all company and corporate programs are followed.
Our Expectations: Qualified candidates must possess effective supervisory skills, knowledge of food preparation, inventory and cost control, purchasing and sanitation procedures. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 5+ years back of the house management experience in the food service industry required. A 4-year degree with emphasis in business or food service management preferred.
