The Child Care Center located at Whitney Place is looking for energetic, team-oriented, DEEC certified Float/Afternoon Preschool Teacher with the ability to work cooperatively and add positively to the classroom environment. A great understanding of child development and suburb family interactions a must. Applicants must be willing to work FULLTIME (40 hours a week-Monday-Friday)
The Child Care Center located at Whitney Place in Natick is one of the newest members of The Salmon Family of Services, a family owned and operated company with a proud tradition of caring for seniors since 1952. Recognizing a need at the other end of the generational spectrum, we established The Child Care Center to provide an educational program for the children of employees as well as children from the surrounding community.
Our programs are designed to meet the developmental needs of children aged four weeks through six years. At The Child Care Centers, we see ourselves as an extension of your family, providing quality care for your children while you are working, or to provide them with additional educational and social time.
Early Childhood Educators and Assistants provide a well-rounded, developmentally appropriate curriculum that stimulates the children’s intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Each child is allowed the opportunity to express his or her own ideas and feelings through guided activities and plenty of play time. Our daily activities address large and small motor development, language, literature, science, math, dramatic play, art, music, and creative movement.
Duties
Cover teacher break coverage in morning (10am-2pm)/afternoons (2pm-6pm) relieve PS teacher and plan afternoon curriculum (see below) Planning and implementing the daily program Supervise the classroom according to lesson plans, help children to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others. Help with meal and snack preparation, feeding children and modeling table manners. Maintain a clean, orderly classroom and center.
