Brief Description of Role Needed

 

The SI Fixed Income Trading desk is a team of self-motivated trading professionals who differentiate themselves from other institutional trading desks by combining a passion for service with an ability to instill confidence in our trade executions.  This position requires each individual to provide value added services to institutional clients, making proactive calls with attractive offerings and intelligent market color.  In building relationships with our clients, we take ownership over the entire trading process, beginning with understanding macro and micro economic factors impacting the market, establishing client objectives through active listening, timely trade reporting , proactive calls with offerings, trade allocation, and post trade date follow up to ensure we earn additional business from our clients. 

 

 

Technical / Functional Qualifications

 

First and foremost, a passion for service.  Ability to instill confidence in our institutional quality executions.  Working knowledge of Fixed Income markets.  Understanding of the value we bring to each relationship.  Ability to cultivate relationships with demanding internal and external customers.  Strong communication skills and a work ethic that matches that of the team.  Ability to handle post trade date corrections and handle a variety of service requests.  Must have the ability to multitask, manage and mitigate risk to the firm by limiting errors and showing leadership.  Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.  Familiarity with gathering and communicating information from Bloomberg and other sources. Two plus years of solid fixed income experience desired. Series 7 and 63 required.

Education: BA/BS
